How To Take Glutathione Effectively

Taking in glutathione effectively

Glutathione is a meek molecule that is naturally produced in the body. It’s a blend of three building elements of protein. These are cysteine, glutamine, and glycine.

It contains powerful Sulfur chemical groups characterized by smelly and sticky molecules. From its sticky feature, it sticks unwanted things onto it. These include toxins, free radicals, and heavy metals in the body.

Glutathione is generally recycled in the body but when the toxic level becomes too high, you may need to take it in artificially to boost its level.

Now How To Take Glutathione Effectively

Intravenously (IV)

This is a method of glutathione intake is commonly used for preventing a low level of blood in patients undergoing hemodialysis, avoiding renal dysfunction after coronary surgery, enhancing blood circulation, and reducing clotting in patients who have atherosclerosis, diabetes treatment, and inhibiting toxicity resulting from chemotherapy.

Inhaled

Glutathione in this method is intended for treating lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis, and lung disease associated with HIV/AIDS.

Intramuscularly

Glutathione is administered in this way to prevent the poisonous effect of chemotherapy and for treatment of infertility in males.

Orally

In this scenario, glutathione is mostly intended to be used for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, cancer, and detoxifying metals and drugs. The intake is controlled by limiting factors such as body weight and efficiency.

When taken orally, it’s good to be with an empty stomach. Roughly 30 minutes before your meal. This is to increase the absorption rate as the stomach surface will be concentrated for absorption of only one substance.

Despite glutathione being taken through the mouth, it’s not the most effective way to take in your body. This is because it is not readily absorbed into the blood where it’s conveyed.

Injection is the most effective way to take glutathione into your body as it is readily carried in the blood to the whole body within a short time.

Glutathione works best when administered together with vitamin C as they prolong each other. From studies conducted, high intakes of vitamin C have shown its ability in hypertension protection as well as against cancer and coronary atherosclerosis.

The dosage should be followed to the letter to avoid under or overdose. Depending on the application, you may have different dosages.

For instance, during skin whitening, dose computation is done as follows: 20 to 40mg/Kg per day in 2 to 3 doses. After which achieving the desired color, 1 tablet is maintained.

In the case of antioxidant anti-aging, the treatment should be 10mg/Kg per day.

Conditions under which glutathione shouldn’t be taken for it to work effectively:

1. When taking antipsychotic or/and chemotherapeutic drugs.
2. On alcoholic beverages. This hinders absorption thoroughly as the stomach is also absorbing alcohol into the blood.

Conclusion

There is an increased usage of glutathione in various applications ranging from medical to beauty. It’s good to be aware of possible side effects accordingly.

From the general aspect, Glutathione has no well-known side effect from its natural nature which is found in diets but it’s always recommended to check with your doctor’s advice on how to take glutathione effectively.
