What Skin Care Routine Is Best For Me

It is every woman’s dream to have perfect and flawless skin. Or at least I know most you can agree with me on this. Unfortunately, it just never works out for any of us.

Surprisingly even the people who appear to have some of the best skin complain about having “issues” that tend to bring down their self-esteem. Just as they say, a woman’s hair is her crown, so is her skin. Great skin can easily substitute for so many features that you have ever wished for.

In order to achieve your perfect skin, you will have to come up with a skin routine that will specifically work for your skin type.

Your skin type is the largest determinant of how effective this routine will eventually become. Investing in costly cosmetics and medicated soaps and creams are not always the solution as some people will advise you, but rather how well strategized your routine is will do that for you.

You should first identify your skin type before making any mammoth adjustments.

What Skin Care Routine Is Best For Me

Dry Skin

Dry skin is normally characterized by a dry and parched appearance. Dry skin also has a habit to flake easily when left dehydrated. You may be the few people who naturally have dry skin which is usually associated with old age, but do not despair as finding the right nourishment for your skin is all you need and a good hydration routine.

Invest in quality moisturizing each day, moisturizing at least twice, in the morning and the evenings before you sleep. Water is also very important for you so each time before you sleep to make sure that your water consumption levels throughout the day were through the roof!

Normal Skin

People with normal skin are some of the luckiest in the world. Their skin is neither too dry nor too oily. They also have no over-sensitivity to harsh climates with their skin always looking picture perfect at all times.

This doesn’t mean that you should avoid having any skincare routine though. You should also invest in a good moisturizer at least twice in a day. Wash your skin with a good antibacterial soap since your skin will only get problems when left neglected and abused.

You should also tone down on the makeup for the makeup lovers to give your skin some room to breathe despite the fact that you probably have NO open pores.

Oily Skin

Oily skin is most common in teenagers and young adults. It’s caused by the overproduction of oils on the skin by the sebaceous glands leaving the skin looking oily at all times.

For easy management of this skin type, you should avoid consuming starches, sugars and oily foods that are bound to make your skin problems worse. You are also most likely to develop acne and thus adapting to a strict skin care regime is the best solution.

You will however not require extra moisturizing for your skin, but a deep exfoliating procedure is vital once in a while and a mild one for each time you take a shower.

Sensitive Skin

People with sensitive skin types usually have dry, thin and super delicate skin with fine pores. Your skin is also prone to get inflamed and irritated very easily in comparison to the other skin types.

For such skin types, I would recommend avoiding alcohol-based products that would irritate your skin. You should also cleanse your face each day using almond oil since its safer and natural enriching your skin with extra nourishment.

Breaking down these routines into your skin types is meant to easily give you the right routine you should follow for better skin.

Nonetheless, the most important rule of skin care is to always hydrate by drinking water for all skin types. You should take at least 8 glasses of water each day that will surely flush out all of the toxins in your body giving you healthy and happy skin.
